12-year-old Miranda is visiting her father for the weekend and wants to give him a birthday surprise. But when her dad, George, attempts to celebrate his birthday by breaking the law, Miranda must choose between protecting herself and defending her irresponsible father.

FREE OF CHARGE is the product of the 168 Hour Film Festival in Los Angeles. The project went from script to screen in one week. It was shot in one day and produced on a total budget of $1000. Ranked as a Top Ten film in the competition, FREE OF CHARGE won the awards for Best Actress and Best Original Score, as well as being nominated for Best Screenplay, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actress.
