Seven-year-old Holly Stingley awakens Christmas morning to discover that Santa has ignored her 16-page gift list, and has instead left a solitary orange. Egged on by sourpuss lawyer Wiley Studpustle, the greedy little girl takes Santa to court, suing him for “breach of promise.”

The Christmas Orange was produced for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation as part of a three part series called Winter Tales, which celebrates Canada’s diversity during the holidays with six stories by Canadian writers
