Robert is currently in preproduction on the feature thriller, Red Line, shooting in May 2011. He also has several screenplays in development in the US and Canada.
Robert recently premiered his feature debut, Snowmen, starring Bobby Coleman, Ray Liotta & Christopher Lloyd, Produced by Steve McEveety (Braveheart, The Passion). The film premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival to rave reviews and was chosen by the audience as the Top Narrative Feature. The film is scheduled for release in fall 2011.
In 2009 Robert wrote and directed the award-winning CTRL for NBC Universal, the first stand-alone web series produced by a major network. Named "Web Comedy of 2010" CTRL is based on Robert's short Ctrl Z, which won the Delta Shorts Competition presented at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.
In 2004 Robert directed the holiday film, The Christmas Orange, an adaptation of the award winning children's book for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. From 2000 to 2004, Robert directed and produced the CBC's weekly primetime series, It's a Living -- personally winning several international awards. Previously, Robert worked as a field producer for seven seasons of Sesame Street in Canada, with many of his segments distributed to over 100 countries. With Robert as a contributing Producer the show won two Gemini Awards for Best Preschool Program.
An award-winning Director of Photography, Robert has worked on features, television, and many documentaries. From 1997 - 2004, he also served as the Cinematography instructor at the University of British Columbia Film School.
